Holidays to Malta, Gozo & Comino
Malta Holidays
Malta is geographically close to Italy, but in language and culture it has much closer links to Britain and North Africa. The main appeal of Malta holidays is the warm sunny climate, it has sheltered, unpolluted bays and harbours which provide ideal conditions for watersports such as sailing, windsurfing and diving. Note that sandy beaches are mainly found in the north-west of the island so if you are looking for a beach holiday, not all resorts in Malta will be suitable, although some of the rocky bays have flat rock for sunbathing and access points for safe swimming.
Malta holidays are excellent for scuba diving, the sea surrounding the islands is very calm and the wildlife danger risk is extremely low. There are reefs, caves and wrecks to explore making this a very interesting diving destination.
Cultural influence in Malta comes from a broad history involving Phoenicians, Ancient Greeks, Arabians and Romans. Maltese people are welcoming, they have retained their traditional culture and each village has a religious festival and elaborately decorated church. For its size, Malta has a remarkable variety of cultural attractions and 7,000 years of intriguing history, with plenty to do during your holiday.
For those looking for vibrant nightlife, there is a good choice of nightclubs in Malta. There are also casinos, major music concerts and festivals.
